Consent and Context
This page collects adult university student responses for a draft dissertation instrument. Use only after final protocol review and IRB approval.
Standard opening script: Thank you for taking the time to speak with me. This conversation is part of a study on how learners make sense of generative AI in relation to teaching and learning. There are no right or wrong answers; I am interested in your honest experience, including where you disagree with how others frame these issues. Your participation is voluntary, you may skip any question, and you may stop at any time. Do you have any questions before we begin? If audio recording will be used, do I have your permission to record?
Eligibility: this protocol is for a current university student who is 18 or older and was in grade 10, 11, or 12 during the 2022-2023 school year.
Research caution: students may skip any question. Avoid collecting school names, course names, instructor names, or other direct identifiers unless approved.
Optional audio recording: With the participant's permission, audio may be recorded to support accurate transcription. Audio remains in this browser until it is downloaded or local data is cleared. The researcher must transfer, retain, restrict access to, and delete recordings according to the approved consent form and data-management plan. The participant may decline recording and still take part.
All response data remains local until export.
